NOLGIA for Photoshop
Let your agent work in Photoshop.
The free NOLGIA plugin for Photoshop connects the document you have open to NOLGIA, so your AI agent can read its layers, edit it with code, render previews into your Library and bring in your NOLGIA images as layers. Your files stay on your computer.

What your agent can do
Real hands in your document.
Your agent works through NOLGIA's app tools, and every command shows in the panel's Activity list.

Read the document
The open documents, and the active one's size, resolution, color mode, bit depth and profile, its layers with masks, blend modes and locks, the selected layers and the selection.

Run code
Edit the document step by step with Photoshop's own scripting (UXP JavaScript and batchPlay). Each run is one History step you can undo, and a run that fails is undone for you. Ask before running code shows you the code first.

Render previews into your Library
A flattened copy of the document, or of one area of it, so your agent can look at its own work.

Import your NOLGIA images
As a Smart Object layer right above the selected layer, or as a new document when none is open.

Export to your Library
Full size PNG or JPG, flattened, uploaded to your NOLGIA Library. A PSD copy is saved on your computer, next to your document.

Save and open documents
Save as PSD or PSB, or open a file in a new tab.
Your documents stay on your computer. Photoshop files are never uploaded to NOLGIA; only the previews and exports you ask for go to your Library.
Install
Five steps, a few minutes.
Photoshop loads the plugin when it starts, so NOLGIA reconnects by itself if you left Connected on, even with the panel closed.

Download the plugin
Download nolgia-photoshop-0.1.0.ccx.

Double-click the file
The Creative Cloud app opens and installs it into Photoshop. It first warns that the plugin has not been verified by Adobe, because it comes from NOLGIA and not the Adobe Marketplace: click Install locally, then OK.
Double-click does nothing? Use Adobe's installer instead: open Command Prompt on Windows (press the Windows key, type cmd, press Enter) or Terminal on macOS, paste the command for your computer and press Enter.
Command Prompt "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\RemoteComponents\UPI\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.exe" /install "%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\nolgia-photoshop-0.1.0.ccx"Terminal "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common/RemoteComponents/UPI/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent" --install ~/Downloads/nolgia-photoshop-0.1.0.ccxIt prints Installation Successful. Saved the file somewhere else? Change the path at the end of the command.

Open the NOLGIA panel
In Photoshop, choose Plugins > NOLGIA for Photoshop > NOLGIA.

Sign in with the code
Click Sign in. Your browser opens a NOLGIA page: check that the code matches the one in the panel, then approve it.

Keep Connected on
The panel reads “Connected. NOLGIA can work in this Photoshop.” Now ask your agent to work in your document.
The NOLGIA panel
You decide what it may do.
Everything lives in the NOLGIA panel (Plugins > NOLGIA for Photoshop > NOLGIA). It keeps working with the panel closed.
- Connected
- NOLGIA can send commands to this Photoshop only while this is on.
- Activity and Pause
- Every command your agent sends, with its status. Pause stops it at any time; Resume picks up again.
- Ask before running code
- Shows every piece of code first, in a window and in the panel, and waits for Run code or Deny.
- Allow NOLGIA Agent
- Also lets your NOLGIA Agent in the cloud work here, not only the agents you run yourself.
- Sign out
- Disconnects and forgets the sign in on this computer. Until then it is kept in Photoshop's secure storage, encrypted by your system.
Code your agent runs in Photoshop runs on your computer with your permissions, like any plugin or script. Turn on Ask before running code to see it first, and only connect agents you trust.
The plugin asks Photoshop for network access to api.nolgia.ai and NOLGIA's file storage, full file access (to open, save and export where your agent asks), opening the sign in page in your browser, the clipboard (for Copy code) and running code from text (for your agent's code).

Film assistant presets
Workflows made for Photoshop.
Each preset is a written workflow your agent follows step by step in your own document. The work in Photoshop is free; NOLGIA generation along the way is priced as usual.
The Photoshop presets are on their way. Your agent can already work in Photoshop with plain requests.
Troubleshooting
If something is not working.
- My agent says Photoshop is not connected.
- Open the NOLGIA panel (in the Plugins menu, NOLGIA for Photoshop, then NOLGIA). It should read “Connected. NOLGIA can work in this Photoshop.” If it says Switched off, turn Connected on. If it asks you to sign in again, click Sign in. Your agent has to use the same NOLGIA account as the plugin, and NOLGIA Agent can only reach Photoshop while Allow NOLGIA Agent is on.
- The double-click did nothing, or NOLGIA is not in the Plugins menu.
- The Creative Cloud app installs the file, so it has to be installed and signed in. If the double-click does nothing, install the plugin with the Command Prompt command on this page instead. If Photoshop was open while it installed and the Plugins menu does not list NOLGIA for Photoshop, restart Photoshop.
- Does it work with my version of Photoshop?
- It needs Photoshop 2024 (version 25.0) or later. The About Photoshop window shows your version: it is in the Help menu on Windows and in the Photoshop menu on macOS. It was tested on Windows and macOS with Photoshop 2026.
- The panel says it cannot reach NOLGIA.
- The plugin connects out to api.nolgia.ai over HTTPS, the same way your browser does, and keeps trying on its own. Previews and exports upload to NOLGIA's file storage at storage.googleapis.com. Nothing connects in to your computer, so no port needs opening. On a work or school network a firewall or proxy may block it: ask for api.nolgia.ai and storage.googleapis.com to be allowed.
- The panel says Reconnecting to NOLGIA.
- After Pause and Resume, or a quick restart of Photoshop, the plugin waits up to about 25 seconds for its last connection to run out, then connects again by itself.
- My agent is waiting and nothing happens.
- With Ask before running code on, Photoshop shows the code in a window and in the NOLGIA panel: click Run code or Deny. Closing the window leaves the request waiting in the panel. A paused plugin runs nothing until you click Resume.
- Can my agent use Generative Fill?
- Not through the plugin yet: Photoshop has no scripting interface for Generative Fill that the plugin supports. Your agent can make an image with NOLGIA instead and bring it in as a layer. That generation is priced as usual.
